Many systems
have been upgraded, while trying to keep the original military look.
The plane has had a Cleveland wheel/brake conversion to Beechcraft
Baron wheels and tires, and a nosegear conversion to a Beechcraft
Bonanza wheel and tire. The owner added a spin-on direct mount
full-flow oil filter, OAT probe, ELT, Whelen strobe/rotating beacon,
and cockpit Halon fire extinguisher mounted on a floor bracket. The
engine compartment extinguisher is also Halon. There are separate
pilot and co-pilot flight control instruments. |

1990, the plane was stripped and painted by Grand Strand Air
Services in North Myrtle Beach, NC. Camouflage paint scheme
(Jet-Glo) with New German Air Force markings. New windshield and
canopy glass. The plane has been hangared at least since 1990. |

Comments: Designed
and manufactured by Piaggio & Co., in Genoa, Italy (first 72
aircraft) and under license by Focke-Wulf GmbH in Bremen, Germany
(194 aircraft), between 1957 and 1960.
Used as a primary
trainer by the New German Luftwaffe (training schools WS-10, 30 and
50) into the 1980's. All fighter, fighter-bomber, reconnaissance,
and two of the transport wings also received several aircraft for
liaison, and communications and instrument training purposes.
